Australia vs India 1st Test: Thanks to the centuries of Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal and the strong bowling of captain Jasprit Bumrah, Team India has defeated Australia by a huge margin of 295 runs in the first Test match played in Perth. With this, the Indian team has taken a 1-0 lead in the five-match Test series. This is Team India’s second biggest win in Tests in terms of runs outside Asia.
In this test match, Team India was bundled out for only 150 runs in its first innings. Then it seemed that host Australia would easily win the match, but Bumrah turned the tables with his charismatic bowling. In the first innings, Boom Boom Bumrah took 5 wickets and bowled out Australia for just 104 runs. In this way the Indian team achieved a significant lead of 46 runs in the first innings.
After this, Team India did wonders in the second innings. First Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul broke Australia’s morale by making an opening partnership of 201 runs and then Virat Kohli ensured India’s victory by scoring a century. Jaiswal played an inning of 161 runs and Virat played an unbeaten 100 runs. Whereas KL Rahul scored 77 runs. In this way, India scored 487 runs for 6 wickets in the second innings and gave Australia a huge target of 534 runs.
In response, Kangaroo collapsed for 238 runs and India won the match by 295 runs. Travis Head scored the highest score of 89 runs for Australia in the second innings. Apart from this, Mitchell Marsh played an inning of 47 runs and wicketkeeper Alex Carey played an inning of 36 runs. However, all this could only reduce the margin of defeat. India won the Perth Test on the fourth day. Jasprit Bumrah, who took 8 wickets in the match, was awarded the title of Player of the Match.
