Arjun Rampal Struggle: Actor Arjun Rampal has been active in the industry for 23 years. He has seen a lot of struggle in his career journey. The actor may be a well-known name today, but there was a time when many of his films flopped in a row. The actor was not happy with the initial phase of his career journey.
While talking to Pop Diaries, he had said- I was a very successful model. Then Ashok Mehta came to me with the film Moksh. Manisha Koirala was in my opposite role in this film. At that time she was at the peak of her career. I shot a scene with him in Chambal Valley. At that time I looked at myself and I hated myself. I thought oh my god I am so terrible. So I thought that I will not do modeling anymore. I didn’t know that this film would take 6 years to make.
When there was no source of income
It is known that Arjun Rampal was first spotted by Rajiv Roy. He signed Arjun for a music video and then signed him for the film Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat. Arjun’s debut film flopped at the box office. But still he got other projects. Moksha was his second film. During the mocking of Moksh, he did not have any source of income and at that time he did not even have money to pay the rent.
He had told- I did not have any source of income during that time period. I lived in Andheri. My landlord was very nice. He used to come on the first of the month and look at me and say – isn’t it? And I used to shake my head no. So he used to say – No one, you will give it.
Arjun has seen a lot of struggle in his career. He has given 13 consecutive flop films, Dil Hai Tumhaara, Dil Ka Rishta, Vaada, Aalaan, Yaqeen, Ek Ajnabee, Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai, Darna Zaroori Hai. In 2006, his career was revived with Shahrukh Khan’s Don.
In 2008, he received the National Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the film Rock On.
