Everyone is aware that Abhishek Bachchan had entered the big screen with the film ‘Refugee’. This was also Kareena Kapoor’s first film with him. However, ‘Refugee’ could not impress the audience much. But both their careers went very well.
But very few people know that Abhishek Bachchan was about to enter the screen with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s film ‘Samjhauta Express’ and not ‘Refugee’. However, this film was never released.
This was revealed by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra himself in an interview given to YouTuber Shiv Talwar. He said, ‘Abhishek was going to debut with this film. In which his character was that of a terrorist.
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra further said, ‘I and Abhishek had worked on that film for a year. For this, Abhishek also used to make notes in the diary. But then when people heard its story, they felt that it was a sensitive subject and the film would not work.
The director said, ‘Seeing people’s reaction, I stopped the film 3 months before the shooting. He was so disappointed that he even burnt the film script.
Abhishek Bachchan had once talked about this film in an interview of Galatta Plus. He had told that, ‘When we narrated the script of the film to dad, he remained silent for a long time and then said that children, this is a nonsense script, get out.’
Talking about work front, Abhishek Bachchan is in the news these days for his recently released film ‘I Want to Talk’. In which his work is being praised a lot.
