IND vs NZ 1st Test Toss And Playing XI: The first match of the three-match Test series between India and New Zealand is being played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The toss in the match took place on the second day after the first day was completely washed out by rain. Team India won the toss and decided to bat. Rohit Sharma decided to choose a very interesting playing eleven for the match.
Rohit Sharma did not include Shubman Gill in the playing eleven in the match. The Indian captain included only two fast bowlers in the playing eleven in the form of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. Akash Deep is out of the playing eleven. In his place, Kuldeep Yadav was included in the playing eleven.
What did Rohit Sharma say after the toss?
After the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said, “We will bat first. It is under cover and we understand that it may be a bit difficult in the beginning but the nature of the pitch is such that you would like to score runs on the board first. We want to get the results we want and decide what we need to do as a team. We have played well in the last few Tests. And we want to start off well.”
