Zak Crawley Record In Test: Jack Crawley did such a feat, which happened only for the second time in the Test history of nearly 147 years. The first official Test in cricket history was played in 1877. Now till 2024, only for the second time in Test cricket, such a feat has been done by Jack Crawley. Before this, only former West Indies batsman Chris Gayle had done such a feat.
In fact, Jack Crawley became the second batsman in the history of Test cricket to hit a six in the very first over of the Test. Crawley had hit a six on the last ball of Kiwi fast bowler Tim Saudi.
Earlier, Chris Gayle had hit a six in the first over of the Test played against Bangladesh in 2012. Gayle had hit 2 sixes in the first over. He started the test with a six i.e. by hitting a six on the first ball. Now Crawley has become the second batsman in the world to make it to this list.
Jack Crowley flopped in both innings
Let us tell you that England’s Jack Crawley proved to be a flop in both the innings of the second test being played against New Zealand. In the first innings, he scored only 17 runs in 23 balls with the help of 1 four and 1 six, while in the second innings, Crawley could not even cross the double figure. In the second innings, Crawley scored only 08 runs in 7 balls with the help of 2 fours.
Gus Atkinson took a hat-trick
In the same match, England’s fast bowler Gus Atkinson did the wonders of taking a hat-trick. He completed his hat-trick by dismissing the last three batsmen of New Zealand. Atkinson became the first bowler to take a Test hat-trick in almost three years. Earlier in 2021, South Africa’s star spinner Keshav Maharaj had completed a Test hat-trick against West Indies.
