Wild Wild Punjab Review: Another film like Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, ‘Wild Wild Punjab’ has been released on Netflix. Luv Ranjan uses a different way to show love, friendship and the pain of heartbreak.
He has produced this film. And the whole masala of his previous films Pyaar Ka Panchnama, Sonu-Titu, Jhoothi-Makkaar has been used in this film as well. If you are planning to watch the film, then first know about the film. The experience of watching the film will become better.
Story
The story of the film is about the friendship of four friends – Maan Arora (Sunny Singh), Rajesh Khanna (Varun Sharma), Honey Singh (Manjot Singh) and Gaurav Jain (Jassi Gill). Rajesh Khanna’s girlfriend has cheated on him, and his three friends take the responsibility of getting justice for him. The team of these four sets out from Patiala to Pathankot, so that they can go to the cheating girlfriend’s wedding day and just say ‘I am over you’ to her.
But this 3-hour journey of these four turns into an adventurous trip of several days when Gaurav Jain marries Radha (Patralekha) on the way under the influence of alcohol. This is where the real fun trip begins. In which there is a fight with the police, a fight with the drug dealer and a car chase. As the story progresses, new people join the team of four and the fun also increases. Now, to know whether this team is able to make the cheating girlfriend realize her mistake after reaching Pathankot or not, you have to watch the film.
Acting
All the actors in the film have put in their best efforts to present the story in a more interesting way. Varun Sharma is seen doing the same thing in the film that he had done earlier as Choocha. But it is not boring to see him in the same kind of role again and again. He looks refreshing every time. Manjot Singh looks perfect in this and his acting looks more refined than before.
Sunny Singh has done a good job and he has got a lot of support from his co-actors. Apart from this, Jassi Gill, Rajesh Sharma, Gopal Dutt and Ishita Raj have also looked good. However, the most surprising thing in the film has been done by Patralekha. She has been seen after a long time. If the transformation of her character in the film is compared to Pratik Gandhi’s character in ‘Madgaon Express’, then it will not be wrong. Her sudden transformation makes you laugh.
direction
The film is directed by Simarpreet Singh. He has previously directed many TV series. He has tried to keep the film as entertaining as it should be, just like the flavour of a fast-paced comedy film. However, there is nothing in the film that you have not seen before. But this is where he seems to win because he has succeeded like an excellent salesman in selling old material with new packaging.
Why watch and why not watch the film?
- If you like Luv Ranjan flavoured movies then you will like this movie too. It has all the same masalas that you must have seen earlier in the movies directed by him.
- If you want to bring yourself into a light mood by watching light-hearted movies of friendship and fun, then you can watch the movie. Yes, but you do not need to use your mind or find any meaning.
- When situational comedy is mixed with good acting, how does the film manage to create a different atmosphere? You can watch the film to see this too.
- Although the film has been directed by Simarpreet Singh, the entire film has been made in Luv Ranjan style. So if you are in the mood to see something new, then you will miss it here.
- In Luv Ranjan style films, female characters have always been shown as cheaters and men as victims. This is also shown in this film. So it is possible that this question may arise in your mind that why is an attempt always made to show this in his films.
Well, apart from all this, if you want to keep smiling for a while, then watching a movie will not be a waste of time. You may or may not enjoy it, but you will not get bored.
