IPL 2025 Mega Auction Players List: There is excitement about IPL 2025 among fans, cricket experts and all the franchises. A total of 574 players will be auctioned, out of which only a maximum of 204 players will be sold. The auction will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and this is the first time that the mega auction is being held outside India. Famous players like KL Rahul, Jos Buttler and Rishabh Pant will be seen in the auction this time, but the question is who will be the player whose name can be said first in the auction.
There will be many interesting things worth seeing in this upcoming auction. For example, 42-year-old veteran England player James Anderson will be entering the auction for the first time. The youngest player to enter the auction will be Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who is only 13 years old. Meanwhile, the purse of Punjab Kings will also be the center of discussion because this franchise has retained only 2 players and Rs 110.5 crore is left in its purse.
Which player will be bid first?
A few days before the mega auction, the list of marquee players was released, in which famous players like KL Rahul and Kagiso Rabada and Jos Buttler have been included. In the first marquee list, Jos Buttler has been placed at the first position, along with him Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Arshdeep Singh, Mitchell Starc and Kagiso Rabada. The name of one of these players may appear first in the auction. There are possibilities that the bid on the first player may go above Rs 15-20 crores.
Recall that a total of 1,574 players from the world had registered for the mega auction. Out of them, all 10 franchises together had shortlisted 574 players. It is not that all these 574 players are going to be sold in the auction because only 204 slots are vacant in 10 teams. A total of 46 players were retained by 10 teams.
