Vinesh Phogat Haryana Election Julana Seat: Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat joined Congress on 6 September and entered politics. Now Congress has released its first list for the assembly elections to be held in Haryana on 5 October. There are a total of 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana, out of which Congress has released the list of 31 candidates. This includes the name of Vinesh Phogat, who has been chosen as the Congress candidate from Julana constituency.
Before the list was released, there were speculations that Vinesh Phogat could be chosen as a candidate from her place of residence i.e. Charkhi Dadri area. But now it has been decided that she is going to make her political debut from Julana seat, which is her in-laws’ place. The people of Julana love her a lot and it will be known only on the day of results i.e. 8 October whether she is able to register a win or not.
Let us tell you that Bajrang Punia has been appointed as the President of All India Congress Kisan Morcha shortly before the list was released. BJP had put forward candidates from 67 assembly constituencies in its first list, but the name of the candidate from Julana area has not appeared in them. Apart from him, if we talk about sportspersons, Deepak Niwas Hooda, who has been a part of India’s national kabaddi team, is also going to contest the elections this time. Deepak Hooda has been chosen as the BJP candidate from Meham assembly constituency.
There are 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana and any party needs to win 46 seats to form a government with a majority. Let us tell you that the seat from which Vinesh is going to contest the elections, JJP had won the last time and BJP had secured second place.
