IND vs BAN R Ashwin Reveal on Rohit Sharma: India made a clean sweep of Bangladesh 2-0 in the two-match Test series. The second test of this series was played in Kanpur. India was successful in winning the second test by a big margin. Captain Rohit Sharma’s special strategy played a big role in this big victory, which was revealed by spinner Ravichandran Ashwin after the match. There was no significant progress in the match due to rain and the field remaining wet for about three days, due to which it seemed difficult to get the result. But, in the last two days, the Indian team all out Bangladesh twice and the batsmen played aggressively to turn the match in their favour.
Rohit Sharma gave the mantra of victory in the dressing room
Ravichandran Ashwin said after the match that Rohit Sharma had instructed the players in the dressing room to play fearlessly. He said, “Rohit told us that we have to play without any pressure. He clearly said that even if we get out for 230 runs, we have to bowl Bangladesh out again in 80 overs. His confidence and aggression in the first innings. This was visible in the team’s batting as well, during which we broke five world records.”
Ashwin talked about the importance of pitch and bowling
Talking about the importance of the pitch and bowling during the match, Ashwin said, “The new ball cuts more, which makes it difficult for the batsmen to play. The ball does not bounce much on this pitch, so the spinners have to bowl overspin.” There are problems, but I maintained my rhythm and gave the right rotation to my ball, due to which we got good results.
