Aryaveer has scored a double century in the match against Meghalaya on 21 November. He completed his double century in just 229 balls and till the end of the second day’s play, he remained unbeaten after scoring 200 runs. Apart from hitting 34 fours in his innings, he also hit 2 sixes and his strike rate was 87.34. This is the first time that Virender Sehwag’s son is playing in the Cooch Behar Trophy and this is also his first century in his first-class career.
17 year old Aryaveer made a partnership of 180 runs with Arnav Bagga in this match. Arnav, who played a century inning of 114 runs. He has made a partnership of 188 runs with Dhanya Nakra. Blessed is he who is still at the crease after scoring unbeaten 98 runs. The son of the veteran cricketer has already made headlines by performing well in Vinoo Mankad Trophy matches. In that tournament, he played an important inning of 49 runs and made an important contribution in helping his team win.

Virender Sehwag was known for his explosive style of batting. He played 104 test matches for India in his career, in which he has not one or two but 6 double centuries to his name. Sehwag scored 8,586 runs in the longer format and apart from 6 double centuries, he also played 23 century innings. Sehwag is also the Indian batsman who has hit the most number of sixes in the history of Test cricket. He hit 91 sixes, but Rohit Sharma is 3 hits away from him.
