The ‘Darlings’ actor said that he did not want to ‘cage’ his feelings. Vijay said, “I think we both agreed that if we like spending time together and if we like each other, then there is no need to hide it, it takes a lot of effort to hide any relationship, you cannot go out together, your friends cannot take your pictures. I do not like such bans. It was not that I wanted to be there, but I did not want to be caged. I did not want to cage my feelings.”
However, the ‘Darlings’ actor also mentioned that they don’t go public with everything about their relationship. He said, “I have more than 5000 photos of the two of us, but they are nowhere on social media because they are for the two of us.”

Vijay further joked that everyone has an ‘aunt’ inside them and hence, everyone wants to know what is happening in an actor’s personal life. When asked if the talk about his relationship is taking over his work, the actor said, “Today, in our society, everyone is interested in other people’s lives. Everyone has an aunt inside them who only wants to discuss this (relationships). It has become a disease and you can’t do anything about it. I can’t change that. As far as my work is concerned, I get appreciation for my work after the release. I can’t deny it,”
