This incident happened with Vishwa Nath Jha, the founder and CEO of Saarthi AI. An employee stole his passport, which also had a US visa.

This Bengaluru-based startup Saarthi AI has been in trouble for quite some time now. The company had carried out large-scale layoffs last year to make profits. Apart from this, the salaries of many people have been withheld since March 2023. Now the company’s CEO Vishwa Nath Jha has claimed that a former employee has stolen his passport. It also contained his US visa. In July, he fired some employees under pressure from investors.
Unable to raise capital to save the company in trouble
According to a report by tech news website Entrackr, Vishwa Nath Jha said that the person who stole his passport was a senior employee. This has created a big problem for him. He is not able to go abroad to raise funds to save his troubled company. He said that I have got a new passport but I have not yet got the US visa. It will take a lot of time.
CEO Vishwa Nath Jha said- We have not stopped anyone’s salary
Vishwa Nath Jha said that we have not withheld the salary of any employee. Such allegations are being made to defame our company. We are in discussions with many banks and NBFCs. If we succeed in this, then recruitment will be started again in the company. After the layoffs in Sarathi AI, now only 40 employees are left. People claim that the company has withheld the money of about 50 employees for a year.
