It is generally seen that when you buy a new smartphone, the user manual and warranty details are also given along with the phone along with its accessories and some paperwork. Although most of the smartphone companies provide customer user manual, but a smartphone customer from Bengaluru was not given the user manual along with the purchase of OnePlus smartphone. What happened was that because of this the person reached the court. In the end OnePlus had to admit its mistake and the mobile user had to pay a fine of Rs 5000.
A OnePlus smartphone customer complained to the Bengaluru Consumer Panel claiming that he was not given a user manual upon purchasing the smartphone. Also warranty details were not given. This incident happened with Ramesh, a resident of Sanjay Nagar, Bengaluru. The person had purchased OnePlus Nord CE 3 smartphone in December 2023 for Rs 24,598. According to the report, user manual was not provided with the smartphone package, due to which information about the phone warranty and features of the phone could not be obtained. In such a situation he had to face many problems.
Court imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on OnePlus
In April, four months after purchasing the phone, an appeal was made to resolve this issue through the Smartphone User Dispute Redressal Commission. In this matter, OnePlus India was criticized on November 29 and the company has been ordered to pay Rs 5000 as fine.
Life time warranty will be available on models with green line issue.
Let us tell you that these days users were facing the problem of green line issue in the phone, after which the company has tried to solve this problem. The company has announced to provide lifetime warranty to all such models which are facing this problem. OnePlus India CIO Robin Liv has said that the company will not compromise with the quality of OnePlus smartphones.
