Josh Inglis T20I Hundred: The second T20 match between Australia and Scotland was played on 6 September. Batting first in this encounter, the Kangaroo team scored 196 runs on the scoreboard. This time too the Australian team batted aggressively, but wicketkeeper batsman Josh English has created history by scoring a stormy century. He has now become the fastest batsman to score a century for Australia by completing a century in 43 balls.
Virat-Surya left behind
Now, in terms of scoring the fastest century in T20 International cricket, Josh English has left behind batsmen like Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Glenn Maxwell. English completed his century in 43 balls and scored 103 runs in his 49-ball innings. In this blazing innings, he hit 7 fours and 7 sixes.
Talking about Virat Kohli, he has only one century in T20 cricket, which he scored against Afghanistan in 2022. He completed his century in 61 balls in that match. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav is known for being flamboyant and hitting shots all around. Surya has four centuries in T20 cricket, but his fastest century came in 45 balls, which he scored against Sri Lanka in 2023.
Rohit Sharma is still far ahead
If we talk about the fastest T20 century for India, it is in the name of Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma completed his century in just 35 balls in the clash against Sri Lanka in 2017. In that match, Rohit hit 12 fours and 10 sixes during his innings of 118 runs in 43 balls. If we exclude the associate countries, the fastest century scored by a player from the full member countries of ICC also came in 35 balls, which is in the name of David Miller. That means Miller and Rohit are at the same place in this matter.
