IPL 2025 Playing 11 Players List: Many players from India and abroad have become millionaires in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Many Indian uncapped players including Gurjapaneet Singh and Anshul Kamboj were bid worth crores, while foreign player Bevan Jacobs did not become a millionaire but was successful in getting an IPL deal without playing any international match. A total of 182 players were sold in the auction and all the teams have prepared a strong squad of their own. But meanwhile, some such players have also been sold in the auction, who may have to spend the entire season sitting on the bench.
1. Shreyas Gopal – CSK
Indian all-rounder and leg spin bowler Shreyas Gopal has been bought by CSK for his base price of Rs 30 lakh. CSK is full of spin all-rounders, options like Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Rachin Ravindra are present in this list. Gopal’s IPL record is also not very good. In such a situation, the chances of him getting a chance in the playing 11 are very less.
2. Devdutt Padikkal – RCB
Devdutt Padikkal went unsold in the first round of the auction, but at the end of the auction, RCB bought him for Rs 2 crore. Padikkal usually comes to bat at the third and fourth positions, but RCB’s squad looks so well organized that Devdutt Padikkal’s place in it is not visible far and wide.
3. Faf du Plessis – Delhi Capitals
Faf du Plessis has been bought by Delhi Capitals for his base price i.e. Rs 2 crore. While playing for RCB last season, he scored 438 runs in 15 matches, but now age has started taking its toll on him, perhaps this is the reason why no team apart from Delhi bid for him. Delhi already has 4-5 top batsmen for the upper order.
4. Arjun Tendulkar – Mumbai Indians
Arjun Tendulkar has taken a total of 3 wickets in his IPL career of five matches so far. This time also MI has bought him for his base price i.e. Rs 30 lakh. Considering Arjun’s poor performance so far, Mumbai will hardly take a chance on including him in the playing eleven in IPL 2025.
5. Ajinkya Rahane – KKR
Ajinkya Rahane went unsold in the first round of the auction, but was later bought by KKR for Rs 1.50 crore. He knows very well how to take the innings forward, but especially the poor strike rate is making Ajinkya Rahane’s enemy. In this era of batting in a stormy style, Rahane would hardly get a place in the playing eleven of KKR.
6. Kwena Mafaka – Rajasthan Royals
Quena Mafaka has been bought by Rajasthan Royals with a bid of Rs 1.50 crore. Even if Rajasthan gives a chance to Mafaka in the playing eleven, then the question will be that who among the top international stars like Sandeep Sharma, Joffra Archer, Fazal Haq Farooqui will be left out. Tushar Deshpande is also present in this team.
7. Musheer Khan – Punjab Kings
Sarfaraz Khan’s younger brother Musheer Khan bats in the upper order in domestic cricket, while he does not have any experience in T20 matches. Punjab has bought him for Rs 30 lakh, it seems almost impossible to fit him in the first 5 batsmen.
8. Adam Zampa – SRH
Adam Zampa has been included in their squad by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 2.40 crore. There is little hope of him getting a place in the playing eleven because Pat Cummins, Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen are certain to play in the playing eleven. In such a situation, Hyderabad will have to choose the fourth foreign player of the playing eleven wisely. One thing worth noting is that SRH already has a leg spin bowler in the form of Rahul Chahar.
9. Aiden Markram – LSG
Aiden Markram has been bought by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 2 crore. An Adam Zampa situation may also arise with Markram because Nicholas Pooran, David Miller, Mitchell Marsh and Shamar Joseph can definitely be seen playing in the bowling in the team. Looking at LSG’s squad, the top four positions seem to be filled. Markram does not bat in the lower order.
10. Glenn Phillips – Gujarat Titans
Glenn Phillips also went unsold in the first round, but later Gujarat Titans bought him for Rs 2 crore. He is a strong batsman and also bowls off-spin. With Gujarat being full of off-spin all-rounder players, it seems very difficult for Phillips to find a place in the playing eleven.
