Let us remind you that among the players who remained unsold, veteran players like Kane Williamson and Steve Smith were also included.
According to a Pakistani media channel, PSL teams are contacting those players who remained unsold in the mega auction. These include Steve Smith, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Jonny Bairstow, Finn Allen, Keshav Maharaj, Shakib Al Hasan, Jimmy Neesham and Tim Saudi. All these foreign players could not find any buyer in the mega auction. It is being told that PSL teams are ready to pay huge amount to all these foreign players.
increased salary cap
The salary cap can be increased to attract foreign players in Pakistan Super League. It was told in a report that PCB is considering paying salaries of Rs 2.9-3.8 crore to marquee players. It is also clear that there is going to be a clash between IPL and PSL next year. Since Pakistan is going to host the Champions Trophy 2025, PSL 2025 has been shifted to the month of April-May this time. Usually the PSL tournament is played in the month of February-March, but due to the Champions Trophy, PCB was forced to change the schedule. The conflict between IPL and PSL has increased the pressure on foreign players. Players who are sold in the IPL mega auction will have to choose whether they want to play in IPL or PSL.
