Women’s Asia Cup 2024: The Indian women’s team has given the UAE a target of 202 runs to win the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 match. Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh scored explosive half-centuries for Team India. Shafali Verma gave a good start to the team by batting strongly. Kavisha Egodage took 2 wickets for UAE. Samaira and Heena got 1-1 wickets. Team India had defeated Pakistan in their last match.
After losing the toss and batting first, the Indian team performed brilliantly. The Indian women’s team scored 201 runs with the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. During this, Shafali and Smriti Mandhana came to open. Mandhana was out after scoring 13 runs. But Shafali played a brilliant innings of 37 runs. She hit 5 fours and 1 six while facing 18 balls. Dayalan Hemalatha returned to the pavilion after scoring 2 runs. Similarly, Jemima could also score only 14 runs.
Richa and Harmanpreet batted explosively for Team India. Both of them scored half-centuries. Harmanpreet scored 66 runs facing 47 balls. She hit 7 fours and 1 six during this innings. Richa played an unbeaten innings of 64 runs. She hit 12 fours and 1 six facing 29 balls. Pooja Vastrakar remained unbeaten. However, she could not even open the account.
Kavisha took 2 wickets for UAE. She gave 36 runs in 4 overs. Heena took 1 wicket giving 40 runs in 4 overs. Samaira took 1 wicket giving 42 runs in 4 overs. Apart from these, no one got a wicket. Captain Isha gave 26 runs in 2 overs.
Let us tell you that Team India had performed brilliantly in the last match as well. It defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets. India will face Nepal after UAE. The match between India and Nepal will be played on 23rd July.
