Sunil Pal On His Kidnapping: Comedian and actor, Sunil Pal was recently kidnapped after getting trapped in an online scam. This incident had surprised everyone. However, it was then revealed that Sunil Pal had returned home. He has now revealed that the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh for his release.
Call came for performance on birthday
In an interview given to BollywoodShaadi, Sunil told that he had received a call to perform at a birthday show in Haridwar on December 2, 2024. He revealed that his kidnappers had booked evening tickets for his flight and 50 percent advance payment was also made to him. To attend this event, he was given a car and his car was changed in the middle of the road in Delhi.
20 lakh ransom was demanded
Sunil said, “After changing into another car, I also got scared as to where he brought it. I don’t know where he brought it. He told me that he wanted Rs 20 lakh. Out of fear I said that it was not Rs 20 lakh. I wanted Rs 10 lakh.” They asked for the ATM card. I kept it in the car and asked for the money from 3-4 friends. It was 4 o’clock in the morning, but the transaction took a long time, so at 6 o’clock the maximum amount was Rs 7.5 lakh.
Sunil released after paying ransom of Rs 7.5 to 8 lakhs
After receiving Rs 7.5-8 lakh, the kidnappers told the comedian that he would be released and his flight was booked. Till he reached the airport, a cloth was tied over his eyes. Sunil quipped, “They told me that they will release you. They had arranged for your arrival by flight, but they will arrange your departure also by flight. Keep these 20,000 rupees in your pocket. Blindfolded, they called me out and said 10 You will leave in 12 minutes and you will leave the airport and catch the flight to Mumbai at 11.55. Went.”
Talking about work, Sunil Pal has worked in many Bollywood films like Phir Hera Pheri, Apna Sapna Money Money and Bombay to Goa. He gained popularity after winning The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005.
