Pakistan WTC 2025: Pakistan had to face defeat against Bangladesh in the Rawalpindi Test. After this defeat, the team has suffered another major setback. The ICC has imposed a fine on Pakistan. Pakistan has been fined 30 percent of its match fee due to slow over rate. Along with this, there has been a loss in the points table of the World Test Championship. Pakistan has also lost 6 points. Along with Pakistan, Bangladesh has also been fined.
Actually, the first match of the Test series was played between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Rawalpindi. Bangladesh won this match by 10 wickets. But during this match, Pakistan bowled 6 overs less in the stipulated time. Due to this, 6 points have been deducted from its World Test Championship points table.

Along with this, Pakistan has been fined 30 percent of its match fees. Bangladesh has been fined 15 percent of its match fees. Pakistan captain Shan Masood and Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto have admitted their mistake. ICC has shared information about this on its website. Pakistan team is at number eight in the points table.
Bangladesh also got 3 points deducted –
ICC has deducted three points from Bangladesh. The team bowled 3 overs less than the stipulated time during Pakistan’s innings. It had to bear the brunt of this in the standings as well. Bangladesh team has now slipped to the seventh position. However, Bangladesh had performed brilliantly against Pakistan in the Rawalpindi Test. If we look at the points table, India is on top. It has played 9 matches so far and has won 6. Along with this, it has faced defeat in 2 matches and 1 draw has taken place.
