ZIM vs PAK 1st ODI Highlights: A three-match ODI series is being played between Pakistan and Zimbabwe. Whose first match was played on 24 November. This match was played at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. In which Zimbabwe has made a big upset. Actually, Zimbabwe defeated Pakistan by a big margin in the first ODI. Zimbabwe won this rain-interrupted match by 80 runs through DLS method. But Zimbabwe had sent more than half of the Pakistan team to the pavilion with their bowling.
Zimbabwe gave the target of 206 runs
At the beginning of the match, Zimbabwe lost the toss and batted first. However, openers Tadivanashe Marumani and Joylord Gumbi made a fast start and took the hosts past 50. But due to misunderstanding Gumbi was run out. After this, Pakistan’s spinners Salman Ali Aga and Sam Ayub put pressure on Zimbabwe’s middle order. Captain Craig Ervin and Dion Myers also could not last long.
When it seemed that Zimbabwe would not be able to reach even 150 runs, Sikandar Raza and Richard Ngarawa made an important partnership of 62 runs. Nagarwa faced the Pakistani bowlers bravely and scored 48 runs, while Raza contributed 49 runs. With the help of these two, Zimbabwe reached 205 runs. Haris Rauf and Mohammad Hasnain bowled well for Pakistan.
Zimbabwe bowlers changed the course of the game
Pakistan had a very poor start while chasing the target. Fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani dismissed Abdullah Shafiq without opening the account and immediately after that Sam Ayub was dismissed. After this the Zimbabwean spinners wreaked havoc.
The pair of Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza completely destroyed Pakistan’s middle order. Williams took the wickets of Kamran Ghulam and Irfan Khan, while Raza broke Pakistan’s back by dismissing Salman Ali Aga and Hasibullah Khan.
Pakistan’s score in 21 overs was 60 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. After this the match was stopped due to rain. Later, Zimbabwe won the first ODI by 80 runs through DLS method.
