ICC Delegation to Visit Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025: ICC Champions Trophy is to be organized in Pakistan, which will be played in the month of February-March next year. Now a team of ICC officials is going to take stock of the preparations for the tournament in Pakistan from 10-12 November. According to a Pakistani media channel, the schedule of the Champions Trophy has been sent to the countries participating in the tournament. Apart from the preparations, these ICC officials will also examine the preparations related to logistics.
According to sources, a program related to Champions Trophy is to be held on November 11 in which many senior officials including cricketers are expected to attend. After this program, the schedule of Champions Trophy can be approved. Earlier in the month of September, some ICC officials had reached Pakistan to take stock of the security arrangements. On one hand, Pakistan is gearing up to organize the Champions Trophy, but India’s stand has still not been revealed whether it will go to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy or not.
According to the schedule sent by Pakistan to ICC, the Champions Trophy will be played from 19 February to 9 March and 10 March has been kept as reserve day. The matches of the tournament will be played in Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore. 7 matches including the final will be played in Lahore, while the first matches of both the groups and the first semi-final match will be played in Karachi. On the other hand, 5 matches including the second semi-final will be played in Rawalpindi ground.
According to the schedule, all the matches of the Indian team are to be played in Lahore. Team India has been placed in Group A along with Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh. India’s first match will be against Bangladesh on 20 February, second clash with New Zealand on 23 February and in the group stage, Team India will play its last match against arch-rival Pakistan on 1 March. The thing to note is that the decision to send Team India to Pakistan has to be taken by the Indian Government.
