India vs Australia 1st Test Day 2: India took a lead of 218 runs at the end of the second day of the Perth Test against Australia. During this, Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul performed brilliantly. Yashasvi is unbeaten after scoring 90 runs. Rahul is unbeaten after scoring 62 runs. Both of them have spoiled the condition of Australian bowlers. There was a century partnership between Yashasvi and Rahul. Australia scored 104 runs in the first innings.
Team India scored 172 runs without any loss in the second innings. India had scored 150 runs in the first innings. During this time Rahul and Yashasvi came to inaugurate. Rahul faced 153 balls and scored unbeaten 62 runs. He hit 4 fours. Yashasvi faced 193 balls and scored unbeaten 90 runs. He is close to a century. Yashasvi hit 7 fours and 2 sixes in this innings.
Australian bowlers did not get wickets on the second day –
Australian bowlers could not dismiss the Indian opening pair. Mitchell Starc scored 43 runs in 12 overs. He took 2 maiden overs. Josh Hazlewood took 5 maidens for 9 runs in 10 overs. Captain Pat Cummins gave 44 runs in 13 overs. He took out 2 maidens. Nathan Lyon gave 8 runs in 13 overs. However, none of these bowlers could take wickets.
Australian innings scattered like a pack of cards –
Mitchell Starc scored the maximum 26 runs for Australia. The entire team collapsed on the score of 104 runs. Opener Usman Khawaja returned to the pavilion after scoring 8 runs. McSween was out after scoring 10 runs. Labuschagne returned to the pavilion after scoring 2 runs. Steve Smith could not even open the account. Travis Head was out after scoring 11 runs. Mitchell Marsh returned to the pavilion after scoring 6 runs.
Indian bowlers wreaked havoc –
Bumrah bowled lethally for India. He took 5 wickets. Bumrah gave 30 runs in 18 overs and took 6 maiden overs. Harshit Rana took 3 wickets. He gave 48 runs in 15.2 overs. Mohammad Siraj took 2 wickets. He gave 20 runs in 13 overs. Nitish Reddy and Washington Sundar did not get a single wicket.
