Harbhajan Singh Letter To Mamata Banerjee On Kolkata Rape-Murder Case: Former Indian cricket team spinner Harbhajan Singh raised his voice on the case of brutality with a female doctor in Kolkata and wrote a letter to CM Mamata Banerjee and the Governor. The Kolkata Doctor Rape-Murder Case has shaken the whole country. The former spinner talked about the delay in the case. Through his letter, he requested the CM and the Governor to work quickly.
Bhajji said that there can be no compromise on the dignity of a woman. Apart from this, he talked about giving such punishment to the accused that it can become an example for others. The former spinner said that in this way we can start restoring our faith in the system again.
Through a social media post, Bhajji shared a letter written to Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and the Governor. Sharing the letter, Bhajji wrote in the caption, “With deep anguish over the delay in justice to the Kolkata rape and murder victim, which shook our conscience, I have written to the Honorable Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee and the Honorable Governor, urging them to act swiftly and decisively.”
Bhajji further wrote, “The safety and dignity of women cannot be compromised. The perpetrators of this heinous crime must face the full punishment of the law and the punishment must be exemplary. Only in this way can we begin to restore faith in our system and ensure that such an incident does not happen again and we create a society where every woman feels safe and protected. We must ask ourselves – if not now, then when? I think, now is the time for action.”
