He cast the stars of that time Ashok Kumar and Devika Rani in the film Janmabhoomi and released the film in the year 1936. Ajay Kumar Ghosh-Ramchandra’s character was played by Ashok Kumar in the film Janmabhoomi and his work was well-liked. The character of Protima was played by Devika Rani.

The film Janmabhoomi shows how Ajay breaks the caste barriers of the people of his village. Along with this, he inspires people to unite and also explains the meaning of independence.
