Let us tell you that dengue disease is caused by mosquito bites. Dengue causes high fever in a person and the platelets in the body start decreasing. If it is not treated in time, then the patient may even die. Research has revealed that dengue fever increases the risk of heart related diseases.
Study revealed
Research on this has been done under the leadership of Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University. Research has revealed that dengue patients have 55 percent more risk of heart diseases than COVID-19. In this study published in the Journal of Travel Medicine, more than 11,700 dengue patients and more than 12 lakh COVID-19 patients have been tested and medical data has been analyzed.

Dengue more dangerous than COVID-19
Lim Jue Tao, assistant professor of infectious disease modelling at Nanyang Technological University and lead author, said dengue is one of the most common vector-borne diseases globally. Dengue also causes many problems later on.

Risk of heart diseases due to dengue
Covid-19 was considered a major reason for the increasing cases of heart attacks and heart related diseases in the country. According to media reports, there has been an increase in cases of heart attack after Covid-19, because in the long term this fever causes clotting in the blood. Due to which blockage starts in the arteries of the heart, but dengue is being said to be more effective than Covid-19. Scientists from Singapore say that after getting dengue, special precautions need to be taken regarding heart health. According to research, dengue can have serious effects on the body in many ways in the future. In many cases, liver damage, myocarditis and neurological problems are also likely to occur due to severe dengue.
