It is believed that IPL mega auction can be organized in November-December. If BCCI allows IPL teams to retain 5 players, then teams like Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings can benefit, because these teams have big players, but if permission is given to retain less players. So many big players may have to go to auction. For example, Mumbai Indians have veteran players like Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya. If BCCI gives permission to retain 3 players, then many of these players can be seen in the auction.
