Zomato had restarted its Legends service in July after pausing it for a short time to make orders profitable. The company has decided to shut down Intercity Legends at a time when the company is taking steps to increase revenue in sectors other than food delivery and quick commerce.
In the year 2022, Zomato started the Intercity Legend service. Earlier there was no minimum limit to order under this, but later the minimum order value was increased to Rs 5000 so that Intercity Legend could be made profitable. However, despite this change, Zomato has decided to discontinue this service.
Earlier, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, Zomato announced the purchase of the entertainment ticket business of fintech company Paytm for Rs 2048 crore. Paytm’s parent company One 97 Communications informed about this deal in the exchange filing.
