Zerodha Gold ETF FOF: Investing in gold is considered auspicious on Diwali-Dhanteras. There are many options for investing in gold. If investors want, they can invest in gold through physical gold or digital gold or gold ETF. On the occasion of this festive season, before Diwali-Dhanteras, Zerodha Fund House has launched Gold ETF Fund of Funds which will invest in Gold ETFs. Gold ETF Fund of Funds is going to open for investment from Friday, October 25, 2024 and investors can invest in this gold ETF till November 8, 2024.
Zerodha Fund House’s Gold ETF Fund of Funds will invest in units of Gold ETF under the passive investment strategy. The objective of the scheme is to earn better returns by investing in gold ETFs which are linked to the performance of physical gold in the domestic market. Zerodha Gold ETF Fund of Funds 95 to 100 percent will be invested in Underlying Gold ETF. Whereas 0-5 percent of the fund allocation will be invested in debt securities and money market instruments. Investors can invest a minimum of Rs 500 before applying for Zerodha Gold ETF Fund of Funds. The NAV (Net Asset Value) of Zerodha Gold ETF Fund of Funds is Rs 10 per unit.
On the launch of Gold ETF Fund of Funds, Vishal Jain, CEO, Zerodha Fund House, said, Gold is seen as a commodity which maintains its utility and purchasing power during inflation. Gold ETFs provide a comfortable investment option without the worry of storage or security. He said, gold has very little to do with equities, hence it also helps in reducing fluctuations in investment portfolio.
Vaibhan Jalan, CBO, Zerodha Fund House, said on the launch of the fund, Gold ETF Fund of Funds has been designed in such a way that everyone can invest in it and to simplify the way of investing in gold. He said, the investment option through Systematic Investment Plan will give investors an opportunity to get exposure to gold which will provide an ideal solution for first-time investors or long-term investors.
