X Pass Key Feature: People in the country are very active on social media. At the same time, a person has many social media accounts. Many times people forget the passwords of their different social media accounts. Or sometimes passwords get hacked, which causes a lot of trouble to people. Keeping this in mind, many companies are preparing to bring new features for the people. Meanwhile, X has brought a new feature for its Android users, named Passkey. With the help of this feature, now the fear of forgetting your password will end. Let’s know what this new feature is.
What is the passkey feature?
Let us tell you that passkey is a digital security technology that works in place of password. Under this, users do not need to remember the password to login to any website or app. Instead, the passkey uses a special cryptographic key, which is only for that user. In simple language, with the help of this feature, you can login to any of your social media accounts without a password. It uses your biometric data such as your fingerprint or face recognition.
How to setup the passkey feature
For your information, let us tell you that this feature has been introduced on X for Android users. You can easily set it up in your account.
First of all you have to open your ex account. After this you have to go to ‘Navigation Bar’ and click on Your Account. After this you have to go to ‘Settings and Privacy’ and click on ‘Security’ option. After this finally tap on ‘Additional Password Protection’ and select the passkey option. After selecting the passkey, click on ‘Add Passkey’ option. After this your passkey will be added, after which now you can login to your account without entering the password.
These are the specialties of this feature
Passkeys are more secure than traditional passwords. It verifies the user’s identity through a secure and unique key. In this process, a secure channel is formed only between the server and the user’s device, reducing the risk of hacking.
Protection from phishing
Phishing is a process in which sensitive information of the user is stolen through fraudulent means. Passkeys provide protection against phishing as it does not require the user to click on a link or enter their credentials on a fake website.
