Whatsapp rolling out feature to add social media profile links to user accounts

For him, the feature of linking another social media profile is coming in his WhatsApp profile. The company has started rolling it out and it is available for some beta users. What is the feature?

Now the WhatsApp profile is going to get the facility of linking second social media profiles. After this feature comes, WhatsApp user will have to write the name of another social media handle in his profile. After this the link will be automatic appearance. Contact from here can connect with that profile. Right now only the option to link Instagram profile is available on it, but in the upcoming updates, the profile of other platforms including Facebook can also be linked. After the link is added, this chat can be seen in the Info screen.

Users will also be able to set visibility

WhatsApp is also offering the option to set visibility of profiles in this feature. After linking the profile, users will also be able to decide which contact their contact has to be shown and whom to hide from. If users want, you will be able to keep it completely private. Once set, they can also be changed by going to the settings.

This feature is optional

Currently, another person’s account can also be linked on a WhatsApp profile in this feature. This is not a proof of authenticity. WhatsApp users can link any person’s handle in their profile and link it. Apart from this, this feature is completely optional. In such a situation, it is not necessary for users to link the profile.
