Ahmed Shahzad statement on Pakistan defeat: Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in the second Test in Rawalpindi on Tuesday. With this, Bangladesh won the two-match Test series 2-0. After this defeat while playing at home, the Pakistan team is being criticized everywhere. Meanwhile, Pakistan opener Ahmed Shahzad has given a lot of criticism to his team.
Ahmed Shahzad said in a video message, “Bangladesh whitewashed Pakistan in their own backyard. Hey brother, you don’t know how to do it, you can’t do it. What can I say to you? They have even practised at home. The conditions in the country were not good for them.”
Shahzad further says, “What cricket Bangladesh has played. The way they have batted, the way they have bowled. Their bowlers have bowled brilliantly. Their batsmen have taught how to play Test cricket. Their bowlers have shown how to bowl in discipline. You kept saying that the pitch should not be like this. When Bangladesh was batting on the same pitch, it seemed like a flat wicket.”

This was the situation of the second test
To avoid defeat in the Test series, Pakistan had to win the second Test match at any cost, but Shan Masood’s team could not do so. The first day of the second Test was washed out by rain. After this, the Pakistani batsmen flopped on the second day and the team could only score 274 runs in the first innings. After this, Bangladesh had a very bad start in the first innings. 6 wickets fell at a score of just 26, but the team made a tremendous fightback. Liton Das did wonders by scoring 138 and Mehndi Hasan Miraj, who took 5 wickets in bowling, played an innings of 78 runs. Bangladesh took the score from 26/6 to 262.
Pakistan’s batsmen flopped in the second innings as well. Abdullah Shafiq, Babar Azam, Shan Masood and Saud Shakeel all flopped, and the entire team was reduced to just 172 runs. Based on a lead of 12 runs in the first innings, Pakistan set a target of 185 runs for Bangladesh. Bangladesh achieved this target by losing just four wickets. For Bangladesh, Zakir Hasan scored 40, Shadman Islam 24, captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto 38 and Mominul Haque scored 34 runs in the second innings. In the end, Shakib Al Hasan returned unbeaten after scoring 21 and Mushfiqur Rahim 22 runs.
