Vinesh Phogat Appeal Rejected: Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat has reacted for the first time after her appeal for the silver medal was rejected. She shared a three-page letter on social media on Friday. Vinesh has talked about her dreams in the letter. Along with this, she has also reacted to not getting the medal. Vinesh told what her dream was since childhood. Vinesh has also mentioned her father. She told that her father is a bus driver, but his dream was that Vinesh should travel by plane.
Vinesh has shared a three-page letter on Instagram. In this, she has talked about her journey. Vinesh has mentioned her father, mother and husband as well as her journey so far. She wrote, “When I was young, I did not know about the Olympics. I also wanted to have long hair like every little girl. I wanted to roam around with a phone in my hand. My father is an ordinary bus driver. He wanted to see his daughter flying in an airplane. I fulfilled my father’s dream. When he mentions this to me, I laugh.”
Vinesh also mentioned her mother and husband in the letter –
Vinesh has also mentioned her husband and mother in the letter. She wrote, “Despite all the difficulties, my family kept faith in God. We have believed that whatever God has thought for us, it must be good. My mother always says that God never lets bad things come in the life of good people. I became even more convinced of this when I moved forward on the path of life with my husband Somveer. Somveer has supported me in every journey.”
Vinesh could not get the silver medal –
Vinesh could have won the gold medal for India in Paris Olympics 2024. But she was disqualified even before the gold medal match. Vinesh’s weight was 100 grams more. She had secured the silver medal. But after being disqualified, she could not get the medal. Vinesh had appealed to the ‘Court of Arbitration for Sports’ regarding this. But her appeal was rejected. Vinesh was badly broken after being disqualified. She also announced her retirement.
