Veda Vs Khel Mein: On August 15, 2024, the biggest clash of the year 2024 was seen at the box office. On one hand, the most awaited film of the year ‘Stree 2’ hit the theatres, while on the other hand, many South films along with ‘Veda’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’ hit the screens. Amidst this mega clash, ‘Stree 2’ won, while ‘Veda’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’ got sidelined.
‘Stree 2’ is earning a lot of money at the box office and no other film is at the level to compete with it. However, the competition between the sidelined films ‘Veda’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’ is still on. On the first day of its release, John Abraham’s ‘Veda’ defeated Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’. But since then, ‘Khel Khel Mein’ is earning more.
‘Veda’ collection so far
According to SaccNilk, ‘Veda’ had an opening of Rs 6.3 crore on the first day. The film earned Rs 1.8 crore on the second day, Rs 2.7 crore on the third day and Rs 3.2 crore on the fourth day. On the fifth day, ‘Veda’ collected Rs 1.5 crore, while on the sixth day it could earn only Rs 80 lakh and on the seventh day it could earn only Rs 70 lakh. Now the initial figures of the eighth day have come out in which ‘Veda’ has collected only Rs 44 lakh so far. That means the total collection of ‘Veda’ in 8 days is Rs 17.44 crore.
‘Khel Khel Mein’ surpassed ‘Veda’
‘Khel Khel Mein’ had an opening of Rs 5.05 crore at the box office. From the second day, the film earned 2.05 crore which was more than ‘Veda’. On the third day, Akshay Kumar’s film collected 3.1 crore and on the fourth day, it was 1 crore. ‘Khel Khel Mein’ did a business of 2 crore on the fifth day, 1.2 crore on the sixth day and 1.1 crore on the seventh day. Now on the eighth day, the film has earned 80 lakhs so far. With this, the total collection of the film at the domestic box office has become 19.15 crore rupees.
‘Veda’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’ seem to be flops
There is a tough competition between ‘Veda’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’ at the box office. ‘Khel Khel Mein’ is earning more than ‘Veda’. However, if we look at the budget of both the films, both the films seem to be flops. Let us tell you that the budget of ‘Veda’ is Rs 60 crore and the budget of ‘Khel Khel Mein’ is Rs 100 crore.
