USA Cricket Team ICC: The USA cricket team performed well in the T20 World Cup 2024. The team came into the limelight after defeating Pakistan. USA also had a match with India. However, USA had to face defeat in this match. But now the threat of ban looms over it. The ICC has issued a notice to the USA Cricket Board. After this notice, many types of news have come to the fore. The ICC took this decision after the meeting held in Colombo.
Actually, recently ICC’s AGM was held. In this, many issues including T20 World Cup were discussed. After this, a press release was issued by ICC. It was told that a notice of suspension of USA and Chile cricket has been issued. Both these cricket boards have been asked to remove the deficiencies. There are many problems going on in the USA and Chile boards.
What is the whole matter –
According to a report in Cricbuzz, USA Cricket is violating protocols on two counts. First, the board does not have a full-time CEO. Second, the USA board is not recognized by the Olympic and Paralympic Association. According to the notice, USA will have to resolve both these issues in the next 12 months. But if these issues are not resolved, it will be suspended.
If this happens then USA team will not be able to participate in T20 World Cup 2026 –
T20 World Cup 2026 is to be organized in India and Sri Lanka. USA is going to participate in this tournament. If ICC bans it then the problem will increase. USA cricket team will not be able to participate in T20 World Cup in 2026.
