The first stage is the written exam
This is a multiple choice exam in which questions are asked from General Knowledge, Hindi, Numerical Ability and Reasoning. Candidates who apply successfully are issued an admit card and they appear for the first stage i.e. written examination.
physical efficiency test
Candidates who pass the written exam have to take the physical efficiency test. Some of its rules are as follows –
The 4.8 km race has to be completed in 27 minutes, the high jump is 4.5 feet and the long jump is 14 feet. This is for men.
Women have to complete the 2.4 km race in 16 minutes. There is a 3 feet high jump and a 10 feet long jump.
The candidates selected in the first stage i.e. written examination reach this stage. The candidates who pass this also go for PAT test.
PMT will be held in the third phase
In the third stage, candidates have to give a physical measurement test. After clearing this, candidates qualify for the next stage. Its standard is that the height of men should be 168 cm and chest should be up to 79 cm. There can be an expansion of up to 5 cm in this. The height of women should be at least 152 cm.
DV and Medical Rounds
In the fourth and fifth phase, candidates have to give document verification and medical examination. After passing PMT, the documents of the candidates are matched. Certificates from age to education and caste are checked.

Final selection and training
