Sarbananda Sonowal Awarded Manu Bhaker: The rain of gifts on Manu Bhaker for winning 2 bronze medals in Paris Olympics 2024 is not stopping. Now, Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Sarbananda Sonowal has honored her by giving her a bouquet and a cheque of Rs 10 lakh. This program was organized in Delhi, where Sarbananda Sonowal also honored Manu Bhaker’s mother, Sumedha Bhaker and father, Ram Kishan Bhaker by giving them shawls.
On this occasion, Sarbananda Sonowal said, “Manu Bhaker has brought pride to the entire country. Today, the entire country is feeling proud of her. I feel that as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized on promoting sports, a good environment for sports has been created in the entire country. I am confident that Manu Bhaker is going to win a lot of medals in the future, there is no doubt about it.”
Sonowal further said that Manu Bhaker’s ability, capability, vision, dedication, loyalty, perseverance and passion to work hard will bring her success. Praising the Indian shooter, he said that she will always shine and the country will always be proud of her.

A reward of 5 crores has already been received
Let us tell you that Manu Bhaker hails from Jhajjar district of Haryana. The Haryana government has already given her a prize money of Rs 5 crore for winning the bronze medal in Paris Olympics 2024. Apart from this, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had announced to give her Rs 30 lakh separately.
