Virat Kohli And Gautam Gambhir: At present, Virat Kohli is one of the great batsmen of the Indian team. Gautam Gambhir is handling the responsibility of the head coach of Team India. Even though both the greats are seen together in Team India, no one can deny the fact that both of them were each other’s biggest ‘enemies’ at one time. Now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made the two enemies sit face to face in an interview.
BCCI shared the video of Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir’s interview through social media. This video started with the innings played by Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir in the final of World Cup 2011. Then the video shows the historic moment when Team India won the ODI World Cup title after 28 years. After this the interview starts.
What did Gambhir and Kohli talk about in the interview?
Gautam Gambhir started the interview by saying, “I remember you had a bumper series in Australia where you scored a lot of runs and that put you in that zone. For me, it was exactly like when I played in Napier and if I look back, can I bat for two and a half days again? I don’t think I could ever do that again and I have never been in that zone in my life after that.”
Gambhir further said, “So I can feel how amazing it feels to be in that zone and I hope you have experienced it many times, which I have.”
Then Virat Kohli further said, “But when you were batting and you had some argument with your opponents, did you ever think that this might take you out of that zone and you might get out or did you keep yourself in a more motivated space?”
In response to Kohli’s statement, Gambhir said, “You have had more controversies than me.” Hearing this, Kohli starts laughing. Then Gambhir says, “You can answer this question better than me.” Watch the video here…
