TRAI New Rule From 1 November 2024: Cyber crime cases have increased in the last few years. As technology is changing, it is becoming easier for scammers and fraudsters to cheat people. However, the government is in action mode and making continuous efforts to stop their fraud. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India i.e. TRAI is instructing telecom operators to take strict action to keep the data of their SIM card users safe.

Steps taken by the government
Steps are being taken by the government to stop fake calls and messages. According to TRAI, instructions have been given to telecom operators to curb fake calls. Scammers are cheating people and emptying their bank accounts through fake calls and messages.
Know what are the new rules
According to the new rule, calls and messages coming on the phone will be pre-screened by the telecom operators. By identifying some keywords of these numbers, those messages and calls will be blocked immediately. Apart from this, even if SIM card users complain, those messages and call numbers will be blocked. It is hoped that this model will be ready soon which will help in stopping fraud.
