In fact, after the information about adulteration in the prasad of Tirupati temple came to light, the company was targeted in many social media posts. It was being claimed that Amul used to supply ghee to the temple.
The central government asked for a report, the temple accepted that this happened
On the other hand, the central government has sought a report from the Andhra Pradesh government on the claims of adulteration in the prasad. The state’s Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had alleged that the alleged adulteration in the Tirupati temple’s laddus happened during the tenure of former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. However, Jagan Mohan Reddy has completely rejected these allegations. According to the India Today report, the temple management said that the tests conducted by them indicated that pig fat, beef fat and palm oil etc. were used. Along with this, the quality of the laddus was also described as pathetic.
