In this match played at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday 1st December, Sanju thrashed the Goa bowlers. Due to rain, the match was limited to 13 overs per team, but Sanju’s aggressive batting revived the match for Kerala.

Kerala made a great start by batting first. Captain Sanju Samson opened with Rohan Kunnummal and adopted an aggressive approach from the very first over. In the fourth over, Samson scored a lot of runs targeting Goa bowler Felix Alemao. On the first ball, Samson hit a four over long off, then on the second ball he hit a powerful six over deep mid-wicket. On the third ball, Felix bowled a yorker, which Samson converted into a four at fine leg. On the last ball of the over, he played a straight shot and sent the ball across the boundary.

After this quick over, Kerala’s score reached 43 runs in 4 overs. Sanju Samson scored 31 runs in just 15 balls to take Kerala to a challenging score of 143/6.
Kerala vs Goa Highlights
Kerala won the toss and decided to bat first. In this innings of 13 overs, Sanju Samson gave a great start to Kerala. Salman Nizar scored 34 runs in 20 balls and Abdul Basit scored 23 runs in 13 balls. Kerala team scored 143 runs losing 6 wickets in 13 overs.
In reply, Goa’s innings was very slow. Opener Ishan Gadekar scored unbeaten 45 runs in 22 balls. Apart from this, no other player could play big innings for Goa. Goa scored 69 runs losing 2 wickets in 7.5 overs. After this, Kerala won the match by 11 runs using VJD method.
