Brian Nichol: Starbucks, a company that runs coffee chains around the world, recently removed Indian-origin Laxman Narasimhan and appointed Brian Niccol as its CEO. Now information has come to light that Brian Niccol will travel from Seattle to California for office. He will use a private jet to cover the 1600 km distance between these two cities. In this way, the company will spend lakhs of rupees on his daily travel to and from the office. The whole world is surprised to know about this arrangement made by Starbucks for its CEO.
Brian Nicol will work three days a week from the company’s Seattle headquarters
According to Starbucks’ hybrid work policy, Brian Nicol will have to work from the company’s Seattle headquarters 3 days a week. Since his home is in California, he will have to commute from there at least 3 days a week. Therefore, the company has also arranged for a private corporate jet in his offer letter. This hybrid work policy is applicable in Starbucks from the year 2023. The company has high expectations from 50-year-old CEO Brian Nicol. He took the company to new heights while being the CEO of Chipotle Mexican Grill. The company’s stock also jumped tremendously under his leadership.
Salary of $ 1.6 million, cash bonus of $ 3.6 million and performance bonus of $ 7.2 million
According to Starbucks’ contract, Brian Nicol will get an annual salary of $1.6 million. Apart from this, he will also be given a cash bonus of $3.6 million and a performance bonus of $7.2 million. He will also be entitled to an annual equity of $23 million. In such a situation, it can be understood that Starbucks has a lot of expectations from Brian Nicol. This is the reason why the company is going to spend millions of dollars just on his coming and going. During Lakshman Narasimhan’s tenure, Starbucks’ sales fell in many big markets including America and China. This is the reason why the responsibility of the company has now been handed over to Brian Nicol.
Chipotle’s headquarters was shifted from Colorado to California
A company spokesperson said that Brian Niccol is going to spend a lot of time traveling. Apart from our Seattle headquarters, he will visit the company’s stores, roasteries, roasting facilities and our offices spread across the world. However, Brian Niccol had made similar plans for his traveling even when he was the CEO of Chipotle. 3 months after becoming the CEO of the company, he also shifted the headquarters of Chipotle from Colorado to California.
