Shikhar Dhawan and Ayesha Mukherjee Love Story: As much as the life of former Indian cricket team batsman Shikhar Dhawan was brilliant on the cricket field, his personal life was equally full of ups and downs. Born on 5 December 1985 in a Punjabi family of Delhi, Dhawan entered the world of cricket at an early age. He started training at Sonnet Club at the age of 12 and gradually became a part of Delhi Under-16 and Under-19 teams. Dhawan, who made his ODI debut against Australia in 2010, made his mark by performing brilliantly in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.

Shikhar Dhawan’s love story was no less than a film script. He met Ayesha Mukherjee on the social media platform Facebook. Cricketer Harbhajan Singh played an important role in building this relationship. Amateur kickboxer Ayesha was born in West Bengal. His father was Bengali and mother British. His family moved to Australia in his childhood. This was Ayesha’s second marriage.
Marriage and family life
Shikhar Dhawan and Ayesha Mukherjee were married in October 2012. After marriage, Shikhar also adopted Ayesha’s two daughters from her first marriage, Riya and Alia. The couple has a son, Zoravar, who was born in 2014. Shikhar also shared happy pictures of his family on social media, in which we got a glimpse of his domestic life.

But with time the relationship between Shikhar Dhawan and Ayesha Mukherjee started turning sour. In September 2021, both of them decided to separate. According to reports, Ayesha asked for 99% stake in Shikhar’s three properties in Australia and also wanted a stake in two other properties. Apart from this, Ayesha was also angry when Shikhar took his father to the hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic. Gradually the dispute between the two increased so much that it reached the point of divorce. On October 5, 2023, Delhi Court divorced both of them on the grounds of mental torture. The custody of Zorawar was given to Ayesha.
