Share Market Opening 1 August: The domestic stock market made a great start to the month of August today. Nifty50, one of the major domestic indices, crossed the 25 thousand mark in early trade today. In this way, a new history has been created in the market, as Nifty50 has achieved the level of 25 thousand points for the first time in history.
Sensex opened at 9:15 am with a gain of about 200 points. Nifty opened at 25,027 points, crossing 25 thousand points with a gain of 76 points. The market looks excited in the initial session and the gains are continuously increasing. In a few minutes of trading, Sensex also made a new history and crossed 82 thousand points for the first time.
At 9:20 am, the Sensex was trading near 82,100 points with a spectacular gain of about 350 points. At the same time, the Nifty was near 25,065 points with a gain of about 115 points.
This great record was made in Pre-Open
The BSE Sensex was up by more than 200 points in the pre-open session and was near 81,950 points. At the same time, NSE’s Nifty50 had crossed the 25 thousand mark with a gain of about 80 points in the pre-open session and was at 25,030 points. Before the market opened, the Nifty future in GIFT City was near 25,100 points with a premium of about 70 points. The initial signals of the market are raising hopes of good business today.
There was such a boom on Wednesday
Earlier on Wednesday, the domestic market witnessed a slight rise for the second consecutive day. Yesterday, the BSE Sensex closed at 81,741.34 points with a gain of 285.94 points (0.35%), while the Nifty closed at 24,951.15 points with a gain of 93.85 points (0.38%). Before that, on Tuesday, the Sensex had a marginal gain of only 99.56 points (0.12%) and the Nifty 50 index had a marginal gain of only 21.20 points.
Greenery returns to the American market
There is enthusiasm in the markets all over the world after the US Central Bank Federal Reserve indicated that it will cut interest rates in September. A day before, on Wednesday, the US markets were in a good uptrend. On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was in profit of 0.24 percent. Similarly, the S&P500 was in a strong rise of 1.58 percent and the Nasdaq Composite Index was in a strong rise of 2.64 percent. Asian markets are mixed today. Japan’s Nikkei is down by 2.20 percent and the Topix is down by 2.48 percent. On the other hand, South Korea’s Kospi is in profit of 0.42 percent and Kosdaq is in profit of 1.38 percent. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is showing signs of a rise.
Sensex shares in early trade
Most of the big stocks are trading higher in early trade. More than 23 stocks on the Sensex were trading higher in the morning session. Maruti Suzuki was seeing the highest gain of 2.50 per cent. JSW Steel was also stronger by more than two per cent. Stocks like Power Grid Corporation, Tata Steel, Adani Ports were trading higher by 1 to 2 per cent. On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra was trading lower by more than 1.70 per cent. Infosys stock was down by more than 0.50 per cent.
