India Playing 11 For Champions Trophy 2025: India’s 15-member team for the 2025 Champions Trophy has been announced. Captain Rohit Sharma and Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar announced Team India in a press conference. With this the playing eleven has also almost been decided.
Shubman Gill has been made the vice-captain in the Champions Trophy. From this it is clear that captain Rohit Sharma and vice-captain Shubman Gill will start the innings. Virat Kohli is confirmed to play at number three. It was also told in the press conference that Shreyas Iyer will play in the middle order. This means that like the 2023 ODI World Cup, Iyer will be seen playing at number four.
Both Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul have been selected for the Champions Trophy, but captain Rohit made it clear that Rahul will be the first choice. In such a situation, it has already been decided that Rahul will also play at number five. After this, Hardik Pandya is also certain to play at number six.
No changes are expected in the top-6 without injuries. However, the picture after this is not clear. But looking at the kind of team that has been selected, it would not be wrong to say that captain Rohit wants to bat up to number eight considering the pitch and also wants more options for spinners. In such a situation, there is a possibility of someone getting a chance among Ravindra Jadeja at number seven and Akshar Patel or Washington Sundar at number eight.
After this, if Jasprit Bumrah is fit for fast bowling then he will play, but if he is not fit then Arshdeep Singh will be included in the final eleven in his place. This has been clearly stated in the press conference. Mohammed Shami is also certain to play.
