RBI New Governor Sanjay Malhotra: Reserve Bank of India has appointed Sanjay Malhotra as the new Governor. Now he will replace Shaktikanta Das. He is a 1990 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre. Sanjay Malhotra will take charge as the new Governor on December 11, 2025. Let us tell you that the new Governor of Reserve Bank of India, Sanjay Malhotra has completed his studies from IIT-Kanpur. Apart from this, he has also obtained a master’s degree in Public Policy from Princeton University of America. He has also served as Revenue Secretary. So, he has also held the post of Chairman and Managing Director of REC.

Talking about the salary of the Governor of Reserve Bank of India, the new Governor Sanjay Malhotra will get a salary of Rs 2.5 lakh. Let us tell you that this salary is more than the salary of the Prime Minister of India. Sanjay Malhotra, the new Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), is currently serving as the Revenue Secretary in the Finance Ministry. So before this he was Secretary in the Department of Financial Services of the Finance Ministry.
