After winning the T20 World Cup title, the tenure of the team’s head coach Rahul Dravid ended. After Dravid, Gautam Gambhir was made the head coach of the team. Gautam Gambhir is with Team India on the Sri Lanka tour as head coach, which is his first assignment, but before that Dravid handed over the responsibility to Gambhir with a special message.
The T20 series between India and Sri Lanka will start today (27 July, Saturday). Before the start of the series, Rahul Dravid passed on the coaching responsibility to Gautam Gambhir with a special message. Rahul Dravid begins his message by saying, “Hello Gautam, welcome to the most exciting job in our world. It has been 3 weeks since I finished my tenure as the coach of the Indian cricket team.” Further, Dravid mentioned the Barbados final and the victory parade in Mumbai and called it an unforgettable memory.”
Dravid further said, “More than anything else, I will cherish the memories and friendships that I made during my time with the team. As you have taken the responsibility of India’s coach, I wish the same for you.” Further, the former head coach talked about the players of the team and wished Gautam Gambhir good luck.
