Jobs in India: The Rs 800 crore PM Internship Scheme, introduced in Budget 2024 by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for skill development and providing employment opportunities to the youth, has received good response from the companies. So far 90,849 employment opportunities have been created under the internship scheme. The aim of this scheme is to provide internship opportunities to 1.25 lakh youth in big companies. This scheme has been brought for the youth of 21 to 24 years.

According to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the internship portal was opened on October 3. Quoting sources, Business Standard claimed that 193 companies have provided internship opportunities for the youth. On this portal, big companies like Maruti Suzuki India, Eicher Motor, L&T (Larsen & Toubro), Reliance Industries, Muthoot Finance and Jubilant Foodworks are providing opportunities. Are providing. Companies from about 24 sectors have participated in the internship scheme. These include companies from oil, gas, energy, travel, hospitality, automobile, banking and financial sectors.
Jobs will be available in 737 districts of about 20 sectors.
Under the PM Internship Scheme, youth are being provided employment in about 20 areas like operations, management, production, manufacturing, maintenance, sales and marketing. These job opportunities are spread in 737 districts of the country. The Narendra Modi government at the Center has planned to develop skills among one crore youth through this scheme. The youth will get an opportunity to work in big companies of the country for one year, where they will learn to face real business pressure.
This will be the qualification to join the internship scheme
To be a part of this scheme, you must have passed high school. Also, it is necessary to have a certificate from Industrial Training Institute, Polytechnic Diploma or Graduate Degree. Also, people doing jobs or doing regular degree will not be able to be a part of it. Youth will have to apply through the internship portal. The government will also cover those who are part of this scheme under PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima and PM Suraksha Yojana (Surakha Yojana).
