Tokyo Olympics 2020 India vs Germany: India and Germany have reached the semi-final round in the hockey event of Paris Olympics 2024. Where a tough match can be seen between the two on August 6. Germany will take the field to take its old revenge from India. By defeating Germany, India ended its medal drought after 41 years
In the semi-finals of the hockey event of Tokyo Olympics 2020, India had to face defeat against Belgium. While Germany had to face defeat against Australia. After which the bronze medal match was played between India and Germany.
In the match played for the bronze medal, India and Germany scored a total of 9 goals. Germany scored three field goals and one penalty corner goal. India also scored three penalty corner goals and two field goals. These two field goals were scored by Simranjit Singh. India managed to win this match 5-4. Due to which India was successful in ending its 41-year medal drought.
Tokyo Olympics 2020 was organized in 2021. 41 years ago, India won the gold medal in Moscow Olympics 1980. This gold medal match was played between India and Spain. Which India was successful in winning 4-3.
