Babar Azam Comeback Update: A three-match test series is being played between Pakistan and England. Pakistan lost the first match of this series. After which former captain Babar Azam was dropped from the team. Along with this, fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah were also given rest. Pakistan won the second test match by 152 runs. The third test match of this series is to be played from 24th October. Due to which Babar’s fans want to know whether he will return to the team or not. Now Babar Azam’s father Azam Siddiqui made an emotional post, in which he has given a big update regarding the return of his son.
When will Babar Azam return?
A relief news has come for the fans of Babar Azam. Babar’s father Azam Siddiqui has issued a statement on social media and made it clear that his son has not been dropped from the team, rather he has been given rest for some time. The purpose of this move is to refresh Babar so that he can return fully fit for the upcoming white ball series against Australia.
Azam Siddiqui wrote in his Instagram post, “I have neither any complaint nor grudge against anyone. Inshallah, you will see Babar playing on the field very soon.” This statement has awakened a ray of hope among Babar’s fans and the hope of his soon return has also increased.
Why was Babar dropped from the team?
There was a flood of news in the cricket world when Babar Azam was out of the team. Discussions had started whether Babar’s career was about to end. But Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) itself issued a statement and put an end to all the discussions. PCB called it a strategic decision taken keeping in mind the upcoming series.
The PCB said in its official statement, “Keeping in mind the current form and fitness of the players, and in view of the preparation for the 2024-25 international cricket season, the selectors have decided to rest Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shaheen Afridi.” Abrar Ahmed, who is currently recovering from dengue, was not available for selection.”
