Mossad was established on 13 December 1949 on the initiative of the then Prime Minister David Ben Gurion. Its main objective is to fight terrorism and ensure Israel’s national security. Initially it was established with the cooperation of the Army Intelligence Department, Internal Security Service and State Department. In 1951, it was placed under the Prime Minister’s Office, due to which it reports directly to the Prime Minister.

How are agents selected?
According to reports, recruitment is done on behalf of Mossad. For which interested candidates apply. After filtering, many tests and interviews are conducted with the candidates. Candidates who are successful are subjected to background checks. Before joining Mossad, candidates have to undergo extremely rigorous training. In this they are given training in various techniques, field operations, intelligence gathering and self-defense.

Agents do thorough research before identifying their targets. After this, they make plans in advance to deal with any situation.
